About Artist

As a child, she would beg her parents to let her bring home every stray cat or dog she came across. While most of the time they said no, her weekends were always spent helping feed and care for any stray animals in her neighborhood. And if any of them needed medical attention, her grandpa - who was a veterinarian - would always be there to help.
She would often spend hours waiting in his office, eager to see how the animals were doing. It was during these times that she started painting portraits of the animals. At first, she would only sketch them in pencil, but as she got older, she started experimenting with watercolors and other techniques. 

Over the years, Atina has painted portraits of countless pets - from loyal dogs and cheeky cats to playful parrots and gracious horses. Each one animal she paints is special to her, and she takes great joy in telling their story through her art. 

Today, Atina enjoys helping pet owners capture the unique personalities of their furry friends, or to memorialize those of them who are no longer among us.
